The Brooks DNA AMP midsole technology provides high energy return that helps your foot bounce off the ground. DNA AMP returns the energy you absorb when your foot hits the ground, sending it directly back to you. All of our cushioning technologies start with DNA because they react to the unique characteristics of your stride. A new technical circular knit material on the upper provides breathability and ensures a more flexible and comfortable fit. The pattern on the sole is shaped like an arrow, so that your foot passes quickly from heel to toe, improving the sensation of cushioning. Quick transitions help reduce ground contact times for a fast and efficient stride.

To help runners chase down their goals, Brooks introduced the Levitate in 2017. With incredible energy return and a super springy feel, the Levitate is the cornerstone of our Energize category, making each mile feel a little easier. We partnered with the materials company BASF to develop our DNA AMP midsole compound that provides ample energy return — among the highest in our line.
As the shoes continue to evolve into lighter, sleeker versions of the originals, we’re committed to offering energy return with options for support — as in the new Levitate GTS — as well as style preference.
