What to do About Painful Heel Spurs

Heel spurs are another common disorder associated with feet. They’re caused by calcium deposits on the underside of the heel bone that can become inflamed when irritated or overused. Heel spurs are usually treated with rest and anti-inflammatory medications; however, they can also be prevented by avoiding wearing shoes that don’t provide enough cushioning or support for your feet. Wearing shoes with cushioned soles and/or arch supports may help reduce the risk of developing heel spurs.
