The YDA SOIL C1Y is a specialist preventive shoe designed to improve walking comfort, support natural movement and help redistribute pressure across the sole of the foot.
Its semi-flexible Rebound sole works together with YDA’s SPRING SYSTEM®, biomechanical rocker construction and shock-absorbing BioGelly midsole to create a smoother transition from heel strike through to toe-off. The result is a more fluid walking motion with reduced concentration of pressure under specific areas of the foot.
The upper is made from soft leather with a protective inner lining, while the adjustable fastening allows the shoe to accommodate different foot shapes and changes in volume throughout the day. A padded, stabilising heel counter helps provide additional control without making the shoe feel overly rigid.
The removable EVA footbed also makes the SOIL particularly suitable for use with custom-made orthotics, where clinically appropriate.
Designed for Smoother, More Comfortable Walking
The SOIL features an advanced rolling point and semi-rigid ROCKER® biomechanical outsole, helping the foot progress more naturally through the walking cycle.
Combined with the shock-absorbing midsole and wide, stable base, this can reduce excessive loading on sensitive areas while improving stability and comfort during everyday walking.
The outsole also incorporates anti-slip inserts for additional confidence underfoot.
Practical Everyday Fit
A soft leather upper provides comfort around the foot, while the adjustable fastening makes the shoe easy to fit and secure.
The removable insole provides additional internal flexibility and allows space for a prescribed or custom-made orthotic where required.

Therapeutic Applications
When recommended by an appropriate healthcare professional, YDA footwear may be used as part of the management or rehabilitation of a range of lower-limb conditions.
These can include forefoot, heel, ankle and knee discomfort; plantar fasciitis; metatarsalgia; osteoarthritis and polyarthritis; biomechanical movement difficulties; and rehabilitation following certain foot procedures such as hallux valgus or hammer-toe surgery.
YDA footwear may also be used in certain cases involving non-at-risk diabetic feet when combined with a custom-made insole prescribed and produced by a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
The suitability of therapeutic footwear will depend on the individual, their condition and their clinical requirements.
