Altra
Let your toes spread.
Altra builds shoes the shape of a real foot: a wide, foot-shaped toe box and a low or zero heel-to-toe drop. The result is a more natural stride with room for your toes to splay, ideal for runners, walkers and anyone who finds standard shoes pinch.
Three ideas behind every Altra
FootShape™ toe box
Shaped like a foot, not a point. Toes can spread naturally for better balance, push-off and comfort, which helps with bunions, wide forefeet and toe crowding.
Balanced Cushioning™
Most Altras are zero drop: your heel and forefoot sit at the same height. This encourages a softer, more natural landing. The Experience and FWD lines add a small 4–6mm drop for an easier transition.
Support when you need it
Stability models like the Paradigm and Provision use GuideRail™ sidewalls that gently keep the foot and knee on track, without a rigid post under the arch.
New to zero drop? Ease in.
Going from a traditional 10–12mm drop shoe to zero drop asks more of your calves and Achilles. Start with shorter walks or runs and build up over a few weeks, or choose a low-drop Experience or FWD model first. If you have Achilles or calf issues, talk to us first.
