Frequently Asked Questions

That's why early care matters addressing symptoms quickly prevents more serious problems.

What is the difference between a Foot Assessment and a Clinic Appointment?

A Foot Assessment focuses on understanding why you’re experiencing pain or discomfort (feet, knees, hips, or back). A Clinic Appointment is for specific foot problems like corns, callus, verrucae, fungal nails, or nail care. If you’re coming in for pain or ongoing issues, choose an assessment. If you know you need treatment, book the treatment slot.

Do I need an assessment before getting orthotics?

Yes. Custom orthotics always require a full Foot & Gait Assessment. This allows us to analyse your foot mechanics properly and ensure the orthotics are designed specifically for your needs. Orthotics can’t be prescribed without this step.

What conditions do you treat in the clinic?

Corns and callus Verrucae (warts) Fungal nails Thick or painful nails Ingrown nails Routine foot care

How long are appointments and what should I bring?

Most assessments take 30–45 minutes, while Clinic treatments are usually 30 minutes. Please bring: Comfortable shoes you wear regularly Any orthotics or insoles Shorts or loose trousers (for gait analysis) If you’re unsure, don’t worry — we’ll guide you on the day.
