What's the difference between sever and stimulate?
Sever is built around a deep, cushioned heel cup to ease pressure on the heel's growth plate — ideal for kids with diagnosed or suspected Sever's disease (calcaneal apophysitis). Stimulate has a more flexible, guiding profile designed for everyday active kids without a specific heel condition, encouraging the foot's own muscles to develop rather than doing all the work for them.
My child gets heel pain after training — could it be Sever's disease?
Sever's disease is the most common cause of heel pain in active, growing children, typically between ages 8 and 14, and often flares up during growth spurts or busy sports seasons. We can't diagnose over the internet, so if the pain persists we'd recommend a check-up — either with your GP or at one of our StepRight clinics — to confirm and get tailored advice.
What sizes are available, and how do I choose?
CORE junior comes in six sizes: EU 29–30, 31–32, 33–34, 35–36, 37–38, and 39–40. Check your child's current shoe size against our size guide below to find the right fit, and size up as their feet grow.
Will these fit inside school shoes and runners?
Yes — CORE junior has a slim profile designed to fit inside most school shoes, runners, and GAA/football boots without crowding the toe box. Remove the existing insole first for the best fit.
Can I return them if they don't fit or suit?
Yes — free returns within 30 days if unused and in original packaging.
